Terk HD-TVS Slim Profile Outdoor HDtv Antenna Reviews
It will probably do better if I take the time to install in outside near the roof. It's suppose to be an outdoor, but I simply placed it against my window facing South and it's doing great. With the money you save from not subscribing to a service, it quickly pays off for itself in 3-4 months. I love this Antenna. I used it on my new LCD and I am receiving more digital channels plus all my regular network channel that I did not clearly receive on my analog t.v.
The broadcast antennas are over 20 miles away. Tried 3 other antennas first this one gets flawless reception.
The Terk was a cinch to set up, came with everything i need to attach it and gets nice reception. PBS signal is weak for now, but i do get channel 31-2 which is QUBO all day kids, so that makes up for lost PBS Kids and all Noggin channels from Cable.
So i face the Antenna facing 83 degrees and it works. According to the website the main signals are about 13 miles from my house in NJ at about 83 degrees. The Terk is in my attic hanging from the crawl space rafters facing the attic window in roughly the degree towards the antennas.
It took a few minutes of adjusting but i now get great HD signals from CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX and My9. I recently canceled my Comcast service to save money and instead bought the Terk HD-TVS as a replacement with the Samsung HD Tuner.
Overall i am very satisfied with the purchase and recommend it
We are also using an antenna signal amplifier, the TERK 15 dB Broadband Cable Amplifier. We are using this antenna as our only TV signal source.
Considering the ever increasing cost of Cable or Satellite TV along with the cost of equipment rental, this antenna along with the signal amplifier is a fine option to consider. I had the antenna installed inconspicuously on the roof.
The picture quality from these digital channels is awesome, and it's all free. We get amazing digital signals from various local channels including FOX, CBS, ABC, several PBS channels, TFA, CW, and UNI.
I live in Kensington, MD which is within the Washington, DC metro area. Of course, we do not get all of the sports channels, Discovery channel, History channel, and HGTV for my wife, but we supplement our TV watching with DVDs from Blockbuster.com (Netflix is another fine option).
We are no longer using cable TV or satellite TV signals.
The picture is very clear. We haven't had any problems with it. We actually put this antenna in our attic and it works great.
