The Club Reviews
As a long time Nick Lowe fan (I own Pure Pop for Now People on the original vinyl and saw Rockpile perform live), I find this song to be a nice example of his work. This is not the best thing he's ever done, but is up there with the best. His songs have gotten a bit more complex melodicallysorry Nick (the reviewer above) and have less poppy themes, but it is a sign of maturity. Worth a listen.
A hugely enjoyable song and album and a fine example of how a rocker can age gracefully. See the great reviews for Lowe's At My Age album to get a better perspective on this track.
WARNING WARNING don't buy. This song was absolutely horrible. It was very distasteful and lacked structure. It's terrible. In fact, if every CD Nick Lowe made exploded, I wouldn't have a problem. Do not buy or get this song. I do not recommend this song for anyone.
