The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Reviews
There are hidden islands and small side quests as well as a few mini games. These cons aren't a big deal, though. You get to be a pirate, find buried treasure and explore four different seas. Pros:. Now you have to be quick with equipping. - Also, I wish after you beat the game you could save and explore some more and find treasure. -The dungeons are really fun and not too long or too hard. -The story line is good and the ending had a neat little twist.
Of course, there are many dungeons to explore and a girl (Tetra) to save. what happened to fairy caves or keeping a fairy in a jar to re-fill life later. -Link has lot of fun gadgets to do things with like: Boomerang, bombs, grappling hook, hammer, bow and arrow and more. This game is definitely really fun. -There are many towns to explore. I remember the "heart container" side quests in all the others, but this one doesn't seem to have many, though treasure hunting does make up for that. The game is still fun even with these minor cons.
You also have to save the Ocean king and restore peace to the sea. -A fortune teller will tell you what you need to do next if you get lost or confused. -When you equip an item, like a bomb for example, the game doesn't pause. Cons:. -Though there are side quests, there aren't as many as in the old Zelda games.
-The graphics are cute and cartoon-ish. I remember other Zelda games would pause so you could equip things w/o getting beating up by bad guys at the same time. I definitely recommend this game to everyone. -You get to customize your boat. -Link is controlled with the stylus, which at first, I thought was a bad idea, but then I got used to it and it's actually fun, and he goes where you want him to go and everything.
-There are no fairies that give you life :(.
This game challenged my very logic and strategy skills to their limit and it was a pleasure to play.
It has a gret storyline, controls are easy, and there is so much added stuff to keep you occupied. The puzzles are fun, too. When I first bought it, I wasn't sure how much fun it would be, until I started playing it. This game is so fun.
If you werent forced to backtrack to many times, then this would easily be one of the best DS titles out there, unfortunately, it isnt. The sylus controls handle well however it would have been nice to have been able to use the d-pad and the reason why this game is bad is because they force you go through the same dungeon atleast 5 times, and you have to do the ENTIRE dungeon over again and more, also you have a time limit and have to complete it in usually less than 10 minutes which requires you to remember everything about it while avoiding invincible, yes, invincible enemies. Being a sequel to The Wind Waker, I expected alot more out of this game, sadly, it was a major flop. The story is as expected bad because your just chasing after to find out where Tetra is so you can turn her back to normal after being turned into stone.
I think it is one of the best games I own. It incorporates the best attributes of the DS including the touch screen, microphone, and both screens. It is a challenging but not impossible game. You get to draw on your maps and draw the path for your boomerang. i love this game. I would recommend this game to anyone, especcialy people who like action, strategy, or puzzle games.
