The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring

A striking role-playing scenario unfolds as the Fellowship begins the great Quest. Take your handheld along as you develop a variety of characters, created by Tolkien but fully realized by you. This first installment demands strategy and quick-thinking, as the horrific servants of the Dark Lord struggle to reclaim the Ring.

This is a single-player role-playing game with a fast-paced, turn-based combat system. Players follow the storyline of the first volume of J.R.R. Tolkien's saga and control the members of the Fellowship, at times directing the actions of up to nine characters at once during battle sequences. Gameplay takes place across realistic backgrounds faithful to Tolkien's descriptions. The semilinear structure of the game allows players to experiment and explore the world of Middle-earth while staying true to Frodo's quest to keep the One Ring from the hands of the Dark Lord Sauron.

The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring Reviews

Does not deserve the one point I had to give it. I'm glad I logged on here to see the reviews (that perfectly match mine) or I might have gone out to buy another copy. thought this cartridge had been flushed and just stamped on the grahics glitches were so bad. But no they say, this game just stinks. didn't even bother to finish and I was well past Morea. I'm done. I'll try the other two, heard they were better.

I could have made it through this game several x by now, but the glitches stuck me in trees in caves over drop-offs, etc., numerous times. Someone said the ending sucks, so what am I missing anyhoo. Don't waste your money, borrow this one from a friend at the most and see what everyone means.

2.It is not challenging. All in all if you really want to try this game, rent it before you buy it. I Would rather play something else. There are two reasons why I didn't like this game. They're alot better than this.

This is an okay game. 1.The game flow is WAY too slow. However I do recommmendThe Two Towers and the Return of the King Games.

The game glitches up in the Old Forest when you try to help a lady with spiders in her house. The ending SUCKS. The battles are very tedious-even if your guys can hit thier target. One strategy I use is to save very often, since it gets boring when you get stuck and have to beat it again from where you saved an hour ago. I liked the fact that there is always some kind of mission you're on. The directions are really hard to understand.

It is definitly a strategy game. You can't use the Bows in batlle mode. The game also glitches up in Moria quite a few times, but you can go to the game's website and it'll tell you how to get around the glitches. I liked the game a lot though. This game is pretty fun, but it has quite a few problems also. There are about three guys on the game that can hit a target consistently. Even after all of the bad things, it is a fun game. You do a whole lot of message taking and little favors for your Hobbit-freinds in the game.

It skips some of the more monotonous areas of the book, but then it makes the areas you play VERY TEDIOUS. But, the game follows the books very well. The plot is engaging, and I found it very hard to put the game down.

But the battles are terribly slow, some items don't work, things that the game promised are taken out, the graphics are awful, and there are some terrible glitches in the game, especially the Moria Glitch which made me go out buy another one (I thought the first one was a defect) and go through the same glitch again. This game is more based on the book then any other lotr game. Even if you are a huge lotr fan you should probably stay away from this game.

And I am not biased against Lord of the Rings games or anything like that because I enjoyed playing the Two Towers and Return of the King for the Gamecube. My final words are DON'T GET THIS GAME. This game is fun for the first 15-30 minutes though. Why get this game when there are games like Super Mario World, Metroid Fusion, Advance Wars 2, or a Pokemon game. This game is not really fun and it has major glitches in it. Whoever gives this game five stars is a complete loser who doesn't have any good games. I wish I could give this game negative five stars.
