The No-Cry Potty Training Solution: Gentle Ways to Help Your Child Say Good-Bye to Diapers (Pantley) Reviews
As a new parent, I found her book extremely helpful when it came to potty training my child. Pantley is one of those amazing parenting book writers whose primary focus is one of compassion. I would highly recommend this book to any parent struggling with this important milestone in their children's life. The book is full of tips and tricks that can help parents in the early days of potty training. In a few short weeks, she was fully trained and was able to say bye bye to her diaper. In The No-Cry Potty Training Solution, she talk about listening to your children's body language and reading the cues. With the aid of Pantley's book, I was able to separate my child's unique situation from the standard textbook's and really listen in to what her body was telling me.
This book broke it down to make this an easy win-win situation for me and the kids. It is simple to read- clear and to the point. Nor, do I have time to do anything elaborate with potty training. I love this book. Thank you. It is simply perfect. I do not have time to read long winded- drawn out books.
I believe that all children will eventually be potty-trained but the book ensures that it will be a smooth and easy transition from diapers to underwear. This book, along with her other books, are a requirement for every home library. I feel that anyone who has difficulty taking the information and applying it to their situation is just looking for an easy fix and these methods do take time and effort but so does all good parenting. I've had years of experience working with young children and seeing the frustration they and their parents went though during the potty-training phase. I always give a copy to friends when their child is close to the age of showing readiness. I rarely review books and will only do so if I feel that it is a true treasure that needs to be shared with other parents and this book is one of them.
I have encouraged all my friends to use the book and thus far, none of the 30 families that followed her methods had any difficulty with the process. Elizabeth Pantley's book simplified things in such a way that I knew right away what methods I felt would work for my son and for me and he was potty-trained within a week by 2.5 years old. Elizabeth Pantley is a genius in that she takes her personal experience and years of research as well as the personal experiences of others and puts it all together in a hands-on, user-friendly book that anyone can use and be successful with as long as they are willing to apply the information. When it was time to potty train my son, I was understandably nervous. There was absolutely no fuss, no crying, no stress and he enjoyed it as much as I did.
I found the no-cry potty trainging book to be especially helpful and made potty training my daughter an easy experience for both of us. I have all of Elizabeth Pantley's books and defintely recommend them to everyone I know who is a parent. This book gives practical advice, and reminds us that guiding our children can and should be a gentle process for all involved. I think this book is a must read for every parent that is about to begin the journey into Potty Training.
Nothing interesting, thought-provoking, or even particularly helpful here. If you want to THINK about training, or be educated about it, I have read several MUCH better books. Just, basically, let your child train themself, even if they are four years old. This book repeated the same useless information that I have read a hundred times.
