The Orange Box Reviews

More enjoyment and game play than any other game I've bought for the PS3. Amazing game.

I had no trouble using the PS3 controller for it. As far as gameplay goes, Half-Life 2 is probably better on the PC. Half-Life the first one, was one of my favorite FPS to play alone in single player. Using the controllers are more difficult and inferior to the keyboard and mouse, which is ideal. Just for Portal alone, it is worth it. In short, buy the PC version if you can, otherwise mainly Portal is still good for the PS3's Orange Box. I've mainly played the Portal game, but it also includes Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress. If you have a fast enough and capable PC and don't mind the online Steam installation, I would definitely buy the Orange Box for the PC even if it were a little more expensive, Half-Life 2 would actually be fun on that.

I don't really like First Person Shooters on the PS3 or PS2 (and there are far too many). Portal is also similar to a FPS, but you don't need good reaction time and precise aiming to kill enemies and you don't have a life bar, it is more of a thinking game. Albeit it may be a short game for some. This game is absolutely worth it, especially at the price it is at now, $19.99. Killing scientists was fun.

Yes it is the best game ever. and the best thing is that you don't get just 1 game, you get 5. This needs to be a playstation greatest hits. This story is the best story that I have found for a game, the graphics are excellent and the control interface is very easy to understand, is not just an action game, you will need some brains to get trough some of the levels.

I got this game because I had heard portal was really good. This game too was worth it. It was, and by itself would have justified the price. Then I started playing Team Fortress 2, which is an online multiplayer shooter. So I feel like I've got my money's worth twice over already, and I haven't even started any of the half life episodes.

The graphics are not as good as everything else you see on the PS3 today obviously, but they are clean and sharp. I still need to check out a few of the other modes like Portal and get through Episode 1 & 2, but the game definitely feels solid. Even then, I've encountered some pretty heated stuff where my heart was pounding from being chase through a flight of stairs and onto a rooftop with machine gun wielding bad guys. sniper, medic, to heavy artillery guy.

The main story reminds me of the original, but with more flare, and a next gen feel. The story unfolds as you interact with characters and complete tasks.

It controls well and just feels solid all around. I didn't feel as lost as I normally would, but then again I haven't gotten very far.

I did have tons of fun playing Team Fortress 2 where you get to go bananas in online multiplayer mayhem where you get to play as different classes i.e. Now, I haven't had much playtime with it, but from what I have, it delivers.

You can choose to organize a team of friends or just hop right into any available sessions. I just saw recently that the price dropped to $19.99, so this game has just become a steal.

Well, I've been a fan of Half-Life since the first one, so when the Orange Box was released for PS3, I figured it's a must have. Especially considering this game has been ported over from the PC.
