This watch is a hit with my four-year-old nephew who loves dinosaurs. He enjoys wearing the watch and using the night light feature.
They loved them for the dinosaurs and we loved them because it made telling time so much easier. I bought two of these watches for my little twin grandsons. Thanks, Timex.
But for $7 or so we could mail it to Timex and they would see if they could repair or replace it. Otherwise, they are great learning time pieces.
We're disappointed in the lifespan of these watches. I would not recommend one of these because they are virtually disposable. Instead of going through the hassle, I purchased the same watch in the Sports variety, and now 5 months later, it too has stopped working.
Plus the stretchable bands fade quickly (and we always took it off before bath time, just to be safe).
By May, it had quit working, so we took it to Target to get a new battery where they told us it was broken, unrepairable. We purchased this watch from Amazon for our first grader last Christmas.
Does not keep accurate time, so what's the point anyhow. May as well buy a toy one for a lot less. The minute-marking numbers are so small as to be nearly unreadable. My grandson loves to wear it, but it is useless as a watch.
i would suggest that they be at least 3 1/2 years old because the band is too big for anyone younger. the dinosaur watch is a excellent method to help your young child to tell time. the watch also should not go to a child that stills throws all their toys hard or is very rough with her or his toys, the watch would not hold up to rough treatment.
