Timex Men's Camper Expedition Classic Analog Watch #T40011 Reviews
love it. When I wake up in the middle of the night this great watch tells me what time it is with out having to turn on a light. When i look at my wrist I can see what time it is right away. No slashes or dashes. The velcro strap is easy on and off, and the watch weighs practically nothing. This watch has a big face, and actual numbers. I'm an old woman who doesn't like ditzy watches.
The watch looks great. The problem is the date, it runs a little slow so I need to adjust every time I wear it. The time hands work. Not doubt.
The dial lights up when you press the button so there is no trouble reading it in the dark. I swim regularly in a pool, sometimes in the ocean, and I've had no problems at all with this watch for the past two months. The band secures with velcro, so you get a perfect fit every time you put it on. No hassles taking out links, nor with the "holes" on a standard band wearing out or ripping.
The watch band is nylon, so it dries quickly and won't rot like leather if it gets wet. It is perfect to wear for the gym and other activities, since it is light like a paper clip. Also, the hands glow in the dark even without pressing the button, so that you can still read the time if both hands are busy. But it's great in the pool, and you won't find another watch that is a better deal.
Note that at a rating of 50M, it is only meant for shallow swimming, not SCUBA, nor snorkeling. For this price, you can't get a more perfect sport and swimming watch.
This watch is great for my daily workouts. It is light and easy to wear while I am running or lifting weights.
To me it looks like it is jetting out begging to get scratched. Comparing this watch to all the watches I've ever owned I'd give it a 4, if it a review of the watches made by Timex only I'd rank it at 2 stars or somewhere around there. While it may be plastic and have design flaws it is a Timex so of course it is easy to use, keeps good time, and lights up really nice at night. I've had this a few months now and ended up switching from the Velcro band to a military style band and do wear it when I go running. If you are looking for a great value on a watch you can't go wrong with a Timex.
With these two factors combined I am a little bit disappointed. The idea was for this one to be my 'sports' watch and the other one to be my 'work' watch.
I like my other watch very much and wear it daily. What it should say is the backing on it is made of stainless steel and the rest of it is plastic. Let me start by saying I am a Timex fan.
If you are thinking of buying this please keep these 2 points in mind. In the description it is says that the watch is made of stainless steel. The plastic used for the face of the watch sticks out an awful lot more than on any other watch I've ever seen.
I bought this watch Timex Expedition Camper: Mid-Size Watch 46151 at the same time that I bought this one.
