Timex TX1003 10.62-Inch Tube Thermometer
Receive consistently accurate temperature readings indoors or out with the Timex TX1003 tube thermometer. Measuring 10.62 inches tall and 2.38 inches in diameter, the thermometer comes with a built-in back hanger for wall mounting and a top eyelet hanger for suspending from a hook or light fixture. More significantly, it measures the temperature from -40 all the way up to 120 degrees F, helping you instantly gauge whether to bring the plants inside during a cold spell or turn on the air conditioner on a hot afternoon. Users needn't worry about poor readings, as the TX1003 is accurate to within plus or minus 2 degrees F. And should the Fahrenheit scale prove insufficient, the thermometer also offers a Celsius scale. Other details include a white, all-weather molded plastic case; a red freeze line that highlights the temperature scales; an easy-to-read dial imprint with ultraviolet fade-resistant inks; and a thermometer bulb guard. In addition, the TX1003 is backed by a two-year limited warranty.

Timex TX1003 10.62-Inch Tube Thermometer Reviews
A lot bigger then what I had pictured in my mind which is a good thing. This thermostat is freaking huge. Easy to read at a distance of up to 12 ft. Very satisfied w/ this product.
I have 4 of these thermometers - in the greenhouse, outside nailed to a fence post, in a kitchen window where seedlings start and herbs winter over, and the 4th nailed outside the kitchen window - about 6 inches from the window where I've no problem reading the red line of mercury from inside the house. The one nailed to the post has blown off and fallen to the ground several times but no damage and still works like a charm. Great thermometers, great bargain.
After weeks of freezing, I was still cold, but at least I knew the exact temperature of my office (58 degrees). The heat is finally fixed, but I still have this tube thermometer on my wall and glance at it for reassurance. Very simple instrument, easy to read, excellent value. A few weeks ago the heating in the courthouse where I work went on the fritz. I bought this for my office.
Unfortunately, the red line is so thin and the numbers so small that it is only useful when viewed quite close up. I bought this as an outdoor thermometer which I placed on a post a few yards from my kitchen window. On the plus side, it was very inexpensive and I will find another use for it.
