It is a fun and adventurous game. The game is really nice in terms of graphics. It does a lot without requiring graphic cards and high end PC's. If you like solving puzzles and figuring out things, then this is the game for you.
The occasionally klutzy combat mechanism tends to steal some pleasure from a marvelously executed game. Still, at four stars, compared to most games, TRA is a steal. The game is also slightly schizophrenic as it moves from a pleasant story-oriented adventure to an overly precision-oriented button-pushing mechanic.
Controlling her was impossible and i mean i am a Tomb Raider nut i know all her moves and have no issues with the controller. I had no fun playing this on PC so I had to buy PS2 version. I got this game on PC because i was hoping that it would have better graphics than PS2. so i thought i can continue finally but. I cannot recommend this,get it in PS2 or Xbox version, otherwise you will be hardly dissapointed.
It was soo frustriating cause you cannot focus on the game if you have to figure out how you can make her do things right.Then after 20mins. When i installed this game i was excited and couldnt wait. Usually it always has better graphics.I even bought a controller for my Computer just for this game so I got real excited, I love Tomb Raider I am one of those people who played the 1st Tomb Raider in 1996 and got hooked ever since. The graphics are not the best of course especially not on my HD TV but it works.
It was extremly frustrading cause i couldnt play this game at all, it was impossible to controll her. turned it on and i was blown away from the beautiful graphics. she didnt jump right, she didnt grab and the easiest things took me a very very loong time. then the next issue came she got stuck and I had to replay again. I can play and enjoy this game because i dont have any issues controling her.
I did replay 3 times and then i gave up. My computer has 3G memory so its impossible that I was short on memory. Its just a waste of money and time. It was amazing until i started to play.Nothing worked. i was really frustrated and thought this is ridiculous but i made it.
All that was displayed was a blank screen. That's when I thought ok, I'm sticking to game console video games. When I purchased 'Tomb Raider Anniversary' for Windows I was really excited, however when I installed it on my computer (Windows XP) my smile turned upside down. The game didn't work properly, it was glitchy, the main menu for the game wouldn't even display. And it was my first time trying out a PC game too.aswell as my last.
The weapons sound well and clean. The new puzzles that you solve can become tedious. The Atmosphere is so real I actually feel like I am there. Even though in minimal amounts, all 5 original Tomb Raider games had blood. 2-Increases The Level Of Ignorance, What's Oslo., Where is Canada., Africa is a Country., EXACTLY. And I have ONLY USED A KEYBOARD and MOUSE. If you noted to the small details that they removed completely. This is a GOOD Game, if you can't complete it, then set the difficulty on easy.
By the way Lara is More Beautiful Then ever. The games hardest part honestly, is locating all the artifacts and unlocking everything in the game. Yes, the Blood. It took me about a few hours to get used to the new movement controls. and 3-Stop being fixated on a single topic and be stupid, like HipHop, and who is HOT in Hollywood.
My Point Is, don't punish a game because of minor flaws. For those that have complained about the T-Rex, wait until you battle the two Horse Creatures at the end of the Greek Sewer Level. And Stop Believing in all the POP CULTURE Crap they are De-Sensitizing you with. This is THE BEST GAME I HAVE PLAYED SINCE THE START OF THE FRANCHISE.
In fact people seem to give it a more negative approach. "When There Is A Will, There Is A Way". I usually put the game down for a while, when I come back I solve them. Hey I have gotten all the way to the "Sanctuary Of The Scion" level, which is the last level in Egypt. This Game Feels As Close To The Original 1995 Release, Then I Have Expected. Crystal Dynamics gets an A+ for their support of the best Character Since Mario, and Luigi. We should be very HAPPY about the release of these two newer tomb raider games. It could of been much, much worse.
Have your own beliefs. What good does senseless shooting and murder do. You have a brain, use it. The Soundtrack is by far impressive. They are annoying. 1-Creates More Idiots, Like We Don't Have Enough. By far the game might be difficult for some, I understand.
