Like TomTom's other navigation systems, the ONE XL gives you coverage in all fifty of the United States, as well as Canada--all stored on 1 GB of internal memory. But it's not just the broad geographical coverage that makes the TomTom ONE XL special. The user-friendly design also puts it a step above other navigation systems. The crystal-clear multicolor display makes for exceptionally easy viewing of maps, routes, driving directions, and other traveling information, such as mileage and distance. Measuring 4.3 inches, the TFT display offers an expanded widescreen view of brilliant two- and three-dimensional graphics. The device also features 32 MB RAM and 266 MHz CPU, making it responsive and zippy. Using the USB port and the provided cable, you can use your PC to add your own points of interest. Memory expansion is made possible by an SD card slot. Great product. An aftermarket outlet should take care of that though. Great directions, easy to read display, and it notifies you of turns well in advance. We've only had it a few weeks and so far, she loves it.
Touchscreen works with minimal effort. I purchased this for my wife and was counting on it to be easy to use. The night colors make it very safe to use at night. Only part I'm not thrilled with is the 12-volt power cord, which is currently drug across the dash as we have it mounted to the left of the steering wheel.
The suction cup makes mounting a breeze and it quickly removes from the base to take on the go.
the tomtom one XL is easy to use, and has an excellent display. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
The TomTom was a gift for my husband and it has come in handy. He has expressed his satisfaction with the product and would recommend it. It is easy to operate and has many useful tools.
All in all great product. I enjoy utilizing the "Navigate Around" feature which will help me skip areas I don't want to travel through. The reason I rated a 4 star is because I have no way to compare this product to another. The 4.3in screen is easier to see and the computer interface is fairly simple. Also the ETA (estimated time of arrival) over estimates the time to get to your destination which is a huge plus b/c I'd rather see my arrival time lowering than increasing. I have not tested other GPS's, but I do like this one.
Other than that I'm fine with it , the screen is wide enough to dial easily with the fingers. The suction pad the GPS come with tend to fall down when fixed to the windshield.
