It does throw the snow quite a distance, does great on light snow, but requires a few passes to take down high or heavy stuff. When we had a freeze after the snow, and I wanted to protect it, I just put it in my kitchen.

It was getting really hard to throw the snow from the shovel at all, or high enough. It's like a munchkin snowblower.

Very happy so far. It's easy to handle compared to pushing a big snowblower around.

This is easy to use (just be really careful controlling where your electrical cord is at all times). We have gotten buried with snow this year.

It's very light, you can lift it easily, clean steps or porches, it cleaned right down to the ground.

Even my trick of spraying vegetable oil on the impeller and chute didn't help. I may be losing 6" on the swath, but it's a good trade-off for retaining my sanity. Bought yesterdayreturned today. Snow just spun around, accumulating in the impeller, and never made it to the chute. Light, 1-1/2 inch snowfall totally baffled this so-called snow thrower. Note to the people who posted positive reviews: are you sure it was snow that you were throwing. My 12" Snow Fox purchased on Amazon three winters ago beats the pants off of this modified tin can.

I'ts hard to beleive that this unit will throw snow 30' but beleive me it. does. This is by far the best purchase that I have bought in a long time. I would defenetly without question buy this unit very easy to use. All my neighbors are trying to get there gas powered units started and i'm just whizing the snow from my sidewalks and driveway. And Amazon to purchase as well.

Besides the little training wheels it comes with - it is doing an A+ job and I can revommend it. The snow blower is functioning well - it is small, but that's why I bought it and it does its job very well. My first shipment arrived without the needed nuts and bolts to put the snow blower together. However, to Amazon's credit, they send me another complete snow blower which arrived 2 days later, and UPS picked up the old one GREAT service.

It would have been better if it were "ready to use" (after assembly) right out of the box, which would mean you could plug it in and use it without having to go buy a cord.

It didn't take him long to assemble it.

Please note that he rated it a 4 out of 5 stars only because it didn't come with a cord.

He likes it a lot and says it works great and is easy to use.

The only thing he wasn't happy with is that it didn't come with a retractable cord, which has to be bought separately.

He wanted to rate it a 4-1/2 but you can't do that.

Fortunately, we had a cord on hand; however, he will more than likely buy the longer one.

I purchased this item for my husband for Christmas to do the stairs and walkways to our house.
