I am completely satisfied with the purchase,delivery and the way the set performes Toshiba REGZA 32RV530U 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.
I bought it sight unseen because I had always had such great product from Toshiba. The set was manufactured in July 2006. No apologies or you must have gotten a bad set, etc. In my opinion, when the company got involved in HD DVD their quality went to hell. In April of this year I noticed a slight gray strip near the top of the screen. Well at lest I do know I should have boguht the extended warranty but it's too late for that.
I purchased a Regza 32HL66 in October, 2006. That's ALL they said. I talked to Toshiba and they said I should have bought an extended warranty. Now I have three nice deep gray stripes of running half the way down the screen. Fair warning to anyone thinking about buying Toshiba. If you are investing in LCD and expect to have the TV more than a year Toshiba is REALLY a bad buy.
So all I'm saying is buyer beware.
I was going to go cheap in the $550 range but decided to upgrade and Am I ever Glad I did. The going $879.00 is well worth it for this TV. This is the Best Picture I have ever seen on a 32" Flat Screen. It comes with alot of stuff I dont' know how to use any of the inputs but Picture is Great and Sound is extremely good right out of the box not hooked up to anything other than the cable. I am very pleased with my purchase.
BTW, the dimensions given on the US web site for the set are incorrect - they slightly overstate the actual dimensions. The images are sharp, the blacks are reasonably deep, the colors are well balanced, and there is no backlight bleeding. Sound quality is only mediocre but I use mine with a 5.1 surround system, so that is not a problem for me. I recommend turning down the backlight to 50 or less (mine is at 40) to get the best picture. I don't know how this set compares to Sony or Samsung because those sets will not fit in my cabinet, the Toshiba does - which is another plus for people with tight spaces. Also the owner's manual is available through the Canadian website. I've owned this set for several weeks now and am very impressed by the overall picture quality. Go to the Canadian website for the correct dimensions if this is critical to you.
I think this is the best deal for smaller LCD TVS out there right now. Excellent number of inputs. I have limited space but still wanted the best picture I could get and this TV is great.
The delivery time was right on time. Pros: Perfect 1080p tv which is hard to find with a 32" model. This tv is perfect. If you are looking for a nice 1080p TV but don't want some thing huge. This product was perfect for me. Menus look very nice and easy to use. All in all.
It only took 5 days to arrive. The price was amazing aswell considering all the specs that it has. PLays blue-ray games and movies great with exceptional picture. Everything was in perfect condition. Cons: None that I have noticed so far and I have ownweed it one month while running a ps3. The blacks are very black and virutally no cloudiness that I can see.
