Toshiba SD-P91S 9-Inch Portable DVD Player Reviews
Arrived as promised. Had a little trouble with the remote, but not significant. Screen image good.
Nevertheless, it is acceptable for children movies which do not require Hi-fi, hi-res and large screen across. 4 stars (but barely) for the metalic feel and very acceptable cosmetics and price. However, it has some grinding noise at times and does not have the upconvert capability (by which a 4.3 format smoothly becomes a 16.9 without visible distortion). Give this a 4 stars bc of its solid build and up-to-par functionality(the smaller Sony FX820 is more hi-tech more friendly w/ more large-screen capability).
Great price-great sound-connects to your TV, if needed-it is so light compared to older portable DVD players-easy to use and the screen is bigger than the average one. Worth buying. Long lasting battery charge, too. I bought this for a gift, but would like one for myself.
This DVD player is very good but I do have trouble with the control buttons. Black on black lettering is very hard to see if you are watching a movie and want to either pause, fast forward or back up and are also a senior citizen. Other than that it has good resolution and sound and the battery has a nice longer life than other players.
It worked, but barely. It also made terrible sounds that could not have been right. It stopped regularly and would only restart when "jiggled". We returned it after the trip due to all the problems. Also, it would not play the "bonus features" on several of the DVD's although it played the basic movie okay. We got this to keep our kid amused on a 4 day drive.
