-Pioneering and extensive realistic damage and wreckage system. -Eight standard tracks with unlockable extras, plus four areas used for 'challenge' levels. -Exceptionally detailed vehicles (10,000 polygons each). driving styles & attributes. -18 customizable game types & challenges including Free For All, Hunter, Bus Jumping, Eliminator and Stuntman. Here is some Info on this game:-Extensive, realistic damage and wreckage system.
-Recreate the carnage in an exciting replay/highlights system. -Multi-player player game options for up to 4 players.
-Dozens of different paint jobs and decorations for each vehicle. This game is one of the most underplayed game i have ever seen for the Xbox.
Your car reflects the sun on it, If you hit someone you will damage his car and slightly damage your car from impact. So much damage in this game. Some sounds in this game could be better(Alot of Engines sound the same, Even though they should not.
-12 hotrods, muscle and performance cars, each with their own. This game is awesome in almost every way.
The Controls are easy to figure out, Easy for beginners. The soundtrack on this game is [not good], But you can rip your own music from the Xbox and put it on this, so you dont have to listen to this.soundtrack.Cars and tracks are awesome in graphic detail. -Choose from dozens of different paint jobs and decorations for each vehicle, with additional unlockable features.
While it IS the traditional demolition derby game, it has quite a few twists and bonuses. Plus extra multiplayer modes like Hunter, where somebody is "it" and you have to crash into them to get points. A lot of people I have seen don't give this game the chance it deserves. Hopefully a sequel to this game will appear someday with XBOX live capabilities. What sold it for me, for example, was the ability to use custom soundtracks off of your Xbox's hard drive. The only thing it seems to be lacking, though not hurting from, is a CREATE-A-CAR mode or PAINT-A-CAR mode. There are many cars and many levels, and the custom soundtrack option only lengthens this game's replayableness.
The career mode opens up some fun tracks and cars which make the multiplayer gaming more fun. While it is true the single player career is annoying and almost impossible at times, I was able to complete it without too much trouble and frustration. This is a "pick up and play" game which anyone (from grandma to grandson) can have a great time playing. This is a very entertaining game that can be played by up to 4 players simulaneously. Really a great value, one that I will keep. The more players the better.
However, dont take the point system to heart. You can get more points from endlessly doing flips and spins over jumps than actually hitting people. One type of game is one of the worst console games that I have ever played. The scoring system for this game is all jacked up. I host xbox parties all the time and this is allways on the "request" list. If you have lots of friends, buy this game for the novelty of it. It has got to be one of the most boring single player games out there for the xbox.
I rate this as an average game. It will force you to leave your cage. That is only becuase there are actually two very different types of games here. If your a smelly underling that sits in their room all day and night by themselves playing xbox games, stay away from this one. Gameplay is just awefull (and I need to stress that awefullness). Multiplayer on this game is excellent however. That is when you play this game in the single player mode.
