Total garbage. Don't waste $$ on one of these readers, just buy the card. Would have returned the item but needed the card. Thought the card reader would be a nice bonus. Card reader doesn't work at all. Bought this b/c needed an extra card for a vacation.
This reader allows you to plug in your SDHC card into a USB port and access the card. I purchased this reader and card to use with my Canon Xsi. The card was a bonus as I really wanted the reader, but the SDHC card is a class 6 (very fast) and I use it as well.
compared to the standard SD card. I use the reader to conserve battery power on my camera, without the reader I have to use the USB cable to the camera and power up the camera to download the images off the card.
( not all devices can use the SDHC). The speed is incredible. Most computers with SD card readers will NOT read the SDHC cards.
I have used Transcend products before and everything has worked as advertised and this one was no exception .
High data speed rate and convenient storage capacity: perfect for special occasion and sport tournaments. Good thing is this card works real fast that I can imagine. I planned to buy a higher storage capacity (>8GB) but my budget won't permit me to buy it.
While it was shipping I found a different reader from Target that can actually read more cards, but I kept this one too, again because of the 8 gig card. Anyway, great deal when I bought it. When I bought this it was a little cheaper, and i only needed the reader, but i got this because it was a good deal for an 8 gig memory card. It works fine, and no problems with shipping.
