The nano stated it.My son was dissapointed. It is not compatable with my son's 8gb 4th gen ipod nano. Good thing I did'nt spend alot of money on this product.
My iPod Nano battery seemed to loose capacity too quickly and died about the same time the charger's cord split. Even with very careful use, the outer cord covering detached and opened up where it entered the plug that attaches to the iPod. This charger is probably best suited as a secondary charger for occasional use. FYI: A famous auction site has Hong Kong suppliers selling genuine Apple wall chargers for less than $10 delivered. I did not frequently top-off the Nano's battery, but followed the recommended protocol of charging only when the battery was fairly low.
I suspect, but do not know, that this rather short battery life might have something to do with a charging voltage that is a bit too high. Total life span of the Nano's battery was under 15 months, and it was not used heavily. I suspect that Apple chargers do a better job of maximizing the life of the very expensive iPod batteries. This iPod charger functioned for a while, but it is delicate.
Ships pretty fast and is in a package with bubble wrap surrounding. I have a iPod classic and an iPod nano, 3rd generation. So, right off the bat I know the charger works for those iPods. It's great considering you don't have to stay up late to charge your iPod on the computer. Anyway, good luck on your future purchases. It is fairly durable. Instead, charge it by your bedside or whatnot.
Cord is very short but good value. The plug won't retract but what do you exact for $7.
The description said it worked on the mini/nano ipods.the one I received didn't charge mine at all. This is a deceptive and bad product. To say I was completely unsatified is an understatement.
