TRENDnet USB to PS/2 Converter Reviews

These converters worked right out of the box, no drivers or configuration required. A great product and timely delivery. I have an old D-Link DKVM-8E KVM switch and I wanted to connect up some laptops that only supported USB connections for keyboard and mouse. These handly little converter cables work like magic.

It is working fine - I can use my old desktop mouse and keyboard with my laptop when I'm at home. A lot cheaper than buying those new with USB connections.

I just unplugged, restarted, waited sufficiently, replugged, connected the mouse and keyboard, and everything works perfectly. The first time I tried it, I hadn't quite waited long enough for all processes to start on the computer after boot up, and the keyboard didn't function. Using this product with a Sony Vaio notebook, Dell keyboard and ancient 3-button mouse.

I would give this 5 stars if you are only looking to use your Ps2 devices into ONE USB computer. Unfortunately, I had no luck with the Trendnet one despite several attempts. The problem is that this does not work well on a KVM. I have another USB to PS2/Converter and that works just fine on both computers. The computers I used were a Dell Inspiron Desktop and a Toshiba Laptop, both computers had the same problem. It works when one computer is completely shut down, but not when both are running (which defeats the purpose of using a KVM).

I recently purchased a laptop to replace an old desktop and I still wanted to be able to use my monitor, mouse and keyboard at my desk. My mouse was already USB connected but my keyboard wasn't. Every key on my keyboard works as expected. I would recommend this to anyone. I decided on this one and it has worked perfectly. I searched around and found a few different USB to PS/2 converters, but as I read some of the reviews I was hesitant on which one to get.
