Well worth the $$. Works with MacBook flawlessly. This is a great product from a NAME BRAND company. But we all new that ;). You'll also need an HDMI-M to HDMI-M cable if your connecting to an HDMI source. Of course, no audio.
The video card is a GeForce 8800 GTX (DVI), and the HD TV is 1080i. The adapter works fine, and the device is well built. I often utilize this setup to share my viewing with the whole family, where everyone can sit comfortably in front of the big screen TV (vs just seeing movies on my computer, by myself). This adapter is used to link up my PC computer to my HD TV, with the use of a HDMI-to-HDMI cable. Although the two native display-resolutions do not match(video card=1680x1050, TV=1080i), the image displayed on the HD TV looks sharp and does not appear distorted.
I'm using this on a Belkin 4-port DVI KVM and it works great to switch between computer and DirecTV HD.
This is one of those things that either works or doesn't. C'est bon. In my case the two I bought worked.
