Now they won't be replacing my current home theater speakers, but these would be fantastic for a game room, bedroom, or den set up. The subwoofer accepts a LFE input which is a plus. The speakers actually did a very admirable job with the gun shots, surround sound effects, mildly deep bass rumble and tight kick drums. I hooked the whole system up to my Harman Kardon AVR-245 and my Samsung LNT4069FX LCD. Small Satellites, 6.5 in "subwoofer, unknown brand (to me at least) but the price and free shipping were just too tempting. This is a pretty incredible bang for buck.
When I got the box I was pleasantly surprised by the decent weight. I expected spring clips at this price point. Honestly I wasn't expecting much from a 5.1 home theater speaker set up. The packing was double boxed with plenty of sturdy foam to keep the speakers in place. Popped in Shoot 'Em Up on Blu Ray and sat back to enjoy the movie. While the speakers are small, they do not feel cheap at all, look pretty good and accept Banana Plugs.
