Just like hanging a painting, tilt too much to the right or left, and the tail has a hard time swinging. A couple of things I've discovered by experimenting. Batteries.Batteries.Batteries.
The clock needs to be leveled to work effectively. I have two kit kat clocks, and at first the tail had some issues stopping and starting. Use new Energizer or Duracell and you won't be disappointed.
2. Cheap batteries will result in a weak swing, even if new. I liked it so much, I bought two.
The other one I have is orange. 1. Once I've figured out to level and use new strong batteries, they have both been working flawlessly, and the tail wags with more power than before.
