Ultimate Duck Hunting lets you visit the country's best hunting grounds, for duck hunting action that's always in season. Choose your dog (yellow, chocolate, or black Labrador retriever) and train him to respond to your commands, all controlled by player motions using the Wii Remote. Gear up with name-brand guns, camouflage, and decoys -- then it's off into the wilderness to set up decoys, use duck calls, and ultimately become a crack shot using the Wii Remote to aim and fire at tough-to-down mallard, hen, black, and teal ducks. Guide your dog to retrieve ducks through flooded timber, murky lakes, and snowy slopes in six unique environments in Alaska, Arkansas, Minnesota, Mississippi, South Dakota, and Virginia.

This game is low quality from start to finish. DO NOT buy it. The options, graphics, playability, everything is poor.
ducks come close only once in a while and then when you get one, you have to make your dog go get it. you actually train your dog, make duck calls and sit in a blind. very very real sounds you feel like you are in the duck blind This game is very realistic. nothing like old duck hunt.
You can't "look around" with just a simple movement of the remote, you have to use the nunchuck control to do so. But that is just my opinion. I'm not a big video game player, so for me, there was just too much going on with both hands just to look around and see where the ducks are coming from. I just might not be coordinated enough. I got this along with Big Game Hunter and thought the movements and controls would be about the same as Big Game Hunter, but it is, to me, a little less fun.
I like the fact that is teaches good hunting etiquette in that you need to train your dog before you go hunging etc, but it was low on action. If you want a slow paced and patience teaching game, this is pretty good. I had high hopes for this game, but it was not what I had hoped. If you want action, keep looking, that's what I am doing now. As with one other reviewer, I was hoping for something more along the lines of the original duck hunting game featuring clays etc.
If your into hunting and have patients this game is great for you but I do not recommend it for people who want it fast and want it now. But playing this can actually be really fun once you know what your doing. I am not one for hunting games. Patients is a key to hunting in general so just as much as it is in real life it is imposed in the game as well. It's actually fun training your dog which helps because once you are hunting it makes the task easy.
This game does do justice for the wii. I never expected this to be like duck hunt from the orginal 1980's nintendo because that game was good for it's time we are in a new era of gaming and the way they make games goes along with the kind of system it works with. Once you get the hang of it you will have endless fun.
