Overall, a very good phone. The numbers are big and resonably simple to use. I wish it had more "one button" speed dialing options available but the emergency 911 button is wonderful. I bought the phone for my mother who is 90 and has macular degeneration. I especially like that it announces who is calling.
Bought this phone system for my parents. Mother can't hear well and the extra volume on the cordless works great for her. Amazon had the best deal for this system and free quick shipping. Not real impressed with the clarity and volume level of the base phone but the voice caller ID on the base phone works awesome, pronounces the names perfect and is really a big help.
She didn't need it for the light up feature, but that is a great asset. The best part is that the buttons are big and easy to use especially for someone that might have some difficulty pushing the smaller phone buttons. I purchased this phone for my 84 year old mother-in-law. She LOVES it. The main phone was used to replace her older one that they don't make any more. The answer machine is easy enough to understand and the directions for set-up, programming of favorite numbers and the instruction booklet are simple enough to follow.
The only problem with this phone is that is does not have a light of any sort advising that you have an incoming call message. Which means you have to turn on lights or go over to phone to see is you have a CID message.
Good-sized buttons, simple controls on the base. Corded/cordless gives you the best of both worlds.
