Uniden DCT7565 Expandable Cordless System with Dual Keypad and Call Waiting/Caller ID Reviews
Besides the fact that it's cordless, you can also program the other handsets simultaneously by using the global feature. This is the best telephone purchase I've ever made. The other handsets operate by just plugging them into an AC outlet. Only the main base needs to be plugged into a phone jack. This is a replacement base that is compatible with my other two handsets.
I really, really love this phone. Only concern is the clarity, but in all honesty, I'm pretty sure it's the fact that we have Vonage that is sound seems "far away." I would buy this phone again in a heartbeat.
Looks like i'll be returning that too. The clarity was ok, some people still told me that i sounded like i was in a closet when speaking to them.but i use an over-the-ear piece so that may be the problem.not the phone. Major static and the phone couldn't connect even after trying the connection again. I'm back to my 900mhz. in phones just isn't perfected yet.at least for the $30-40 shoppers.
One thing is clear though, it cut out when i went to our lower floor towards the two ends of the building. It may feel like a brick but it takes the calls.even outside in the parking lot. Sorry Uniden.
Uniden is pretty good but it seems digital tech. Oh yeah, don't get a 2.4Ghz phones if you plan on talking while your microwave is going.it will most likely interfere with your 2.4 phone and the phone will only work if your about 50 or more feet from the microwave while it's operating. I bought this phone because i need my hands free as i roam around the building (small church). I did much research on the web and in consumer reports to find a good portable phone w/out an answering machine for a good price.
My old RadioShack 900 mhz worked fine, so i returned this, went back to Uniden products, bought a 900mhz from them, went downstairs with it, same problem.
I bought this phone soley because it had the two main features that I wanted, Caller ID and a speaker in the base. I didn't realize till after I received it that also had a speaker in the handset which was a real added bonus. It works like a charm. I recently spent two hours on the phone with technical assistance for a computer problem and the handset speaker allowed me to use the speaker phone while going to different parts of my home to obtain the information required by tech assistance.
