With a complete set of high performance features and expandable functionality, the Uniden DCT758-2 offers a full set of convenient options for busy homes. Call Waiting Caller ID includes a 100-station memory (with subscription to local service) that allows names and numbers to be transferred between handsets or moved into the permanent 10-station speed dial. DirectLink two-way radio communication is built into each handset, allowing them to function as an in-home intercom system or baby monitor. Redial any of the last three numbers at the touch of a button, activate three-way calls or just enjoy the consistent, clear 2.4 GHz digital signal transmission. The system is expandable with up to four handsets; two are included in the package. You can transfer incoming calls between each handset and speakerphone on the base, and make use of the convenient hands-free design by using the included belt clip and built-in headset jack (headsets available separately). Easily adjust handset and ringer volume levels to your comfort, and set the handset LCD menu to one of three menu languages (English, French, or Spanish). A page button lets you quickly locate the handset if it's strayed under the couch cushions. A digital answering system is built into the base; call screening and recording are available from the handset as well. The base and charger are wall mountable, or each can sit sturdily on a countertop, giving you plenty of display options, and a total of 20 different ring tones (10 tones, 10 melodies) give you a variety of choices. It has a ton of features, great sound quality and for the money is hard to beat. -programmable speed dial. -you need the manual to know what some of the abbreviations are. -99 person phone book. -sound quality is very good. We've been using this phone for about 4-5 months now and haven't had any problems with it. -ability to check voicemail via handset.
-over 20 ringtones including musical scores (not just beeps and bops). -still have yet to synchronize the handset ringtone with the base. -expandable to four handsets.
-difficult to navigate menu screens. Here's some of the positives the phone has to offer:. -Call waiting caller ID; allows you to see who is calling while you're talking on the other line. Some of the annoying aspects of the phone:. -phone book is very difficult to use and add new numbers. In all, this cordless system is really very nice.
-certain things can only be changed from the handset. -an intercom system (very helpful in certain occasions). -Normal caller ID. -handset is small and ergonomic; closer to the size of a cell phone than older handsets.
This is the best cordless phone set on the market. It has many convenient options and is very easy to program and use.
I went right back to my Old Phone right after the Caller Id dilemma I was that Frustrated & I will probably look for another phone & give this one away. I was so excited to get another phone/Answering mach. You can goto Uniden web site and find out plenty of info. & X-Tra handset was a Bonus I thought I was gonna Love it but it's more of a Nightmare. What a shame. about this & other phones. I found it Frustrating to use this phone,hard to find the Caller ID & ended up turning the Ringer Volume Up,Down & Up & Down over and Over then on and Off,while I was in hurry to find out Who Called Me,and you Can't just Delete one caller on the Caller ID,you have to delete them all & I'd rather just delete the ones I want but I can't it won't let me.Besides that this phone works well & has plenty of options like special ring tones for ppl who call you,mom,friends,ect.which is pretty cool but not important for Me.You can page the 2nd handset,use it as room monitor,ect.
Shipping was quick and the phone is worth what you pay for. Good Sound quality and features.
I told her everything else was set up I just needed the handset repaired or replaced. She told me she could replace it for a large charge. I now understand what people mean when they say they wish they can give no stars.
Her response was "so return it". Use any other brand, including 2 tin cans and a string and you'll be better off. When I said they sold a defective product she said "this happens all the time and why should they pick up the cost." I then asked to speak to a manager and she then hung up.
I bought this product and one of the handsets totally did not work. In short, defective products, non-existent customer service. I called the so-called Customer Support line and pressed the prompt for repair.
After 30 minutes (with many recorded "your call is important to us" messages) someone came on to "assist" me.
