Uniden DECT 1060 DECT6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System with Call Waiting/Caller ID Reviews
Because the phone does not give you a choice of 7, 10, or 11 digit dialing for each call and does not allow you to manually insert a "1" before making the call, area code calls will not go through. You can program the phone to put a "1" before EVERY call, but this will prevent you from making (even manually) a non-area code call, an international call, or even call 911 (which becomes 1911). European Date and Time.
Cons: Lacks some *very basic functions* such as chain dialing and dialing using number from call log. Pros: 100 number phonebook. Good range, low battery drain.
On this phone, there is no way to get to your phonebook while a call is in progress so the phone cannot do "chain dialing" that you would use when you call an access number (for a phone card, for instance) and then want to enter the actual destination number from your phonebook. I bought this phone despite reviews that it had limited features such as no earphone jack, but when I received it, I just could not believe the very basic features that were lacking. These incompetences and the limited 2 line display would cause me to recommend against purchase of what would otherwise be a very good cordless phone with excellent sound quality, a very effective speakerphone, intuitive controls for the features that do exist (except muting), good range, and relatively long talk time.
You also can't use your phone log to call back a party as you can do on every other caller ID phone I have ever seen. You must enter the destination number manually.
This phone works great and boasts of a higher frequency channel for wireless transmisson. , handset finder, dual voltage. cannot load custom ringtones and the ringtones volume is ok not too loud, just ok and might be difficult to find it if falls between the sheets and stuff. Pros: compact design, phonebook of 100 numbers, Caller Id, battery life( i charge it periodically and it never ran out of charge so am not too sure about it). Cons: The range covered is very limited like 75 feet.
Phone works fine. Other than that it's not my favorite cordless. The buttons are a little slow (to dial) and reception is average.
1. 2. The phone wouldn't interfere with my other 5.8GHz cordless phone system or with my wireless Internet. These are niggling problems. If you're going to be placing the cradle down next to where someone is sleeping, the chirp might be a problem and as far as the time function goes, most people probably don't get the time from their phone. The sound is great and it works great. This phone met all of these requirements.
The phone needed to be cheap. The voice quality had to be good. I bought this phone to use with a second phone line that is a VOIP line. 3. I had three requirements:. I've read some reviews that complain about the fact that it uses military time and that it makes a chirp when you place it into its cradle. This is a great product, especially at this price point.
I wish I could link more phones to this system, but must instead purchase a second base for additional phones. It's now the only alarm clock I use. I really like this phone. It's small, plugs in anywhere, sounds great, and even functions as an alarm clock and intercom.
