DECT 6.0 technology offers better performance, security, and battery life than older 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz phones.
The Uniden DECT2060-2 cordless phone offers:
  • Wi-fi friendly DECT 6.0 technology for maximum voice clarity and call security.
  • Expandability to 6 handsets
  • Longer battery life allows up to 16 hours of talk time.
  • High-capacity phonebook for up to 70 names and numbers.
Clear Voice Reception
Utilizing the newly ratified DECT 6.0 frequency band, the DECT2060-2 provides the clearest voice reception available and can easily be used with Wireless Home Networking (WLAN) systems without interference. This technology also ensures whole house coverage and maximum voice security. The DECT2060-2 is even expandable up to six handsets to one base, so it can grow with your family or business.

Time-Saving Options
Boasting a longer battery life than comparable systems, the DECT2060-2 is designed to give you plenty of time-saving options. First, it displays call waiting and caller ID numbers (note: this feature requires a telephone company service subscription) so you always know who's calling, even when you're already using the line. You can conveniently hold a three-way conversation between your handset, an external caller and another internal handset user--a fun and efficient option for talking to family and friends. It also features a 30 caller ID handset memory and advanced phonebook capabilities that allow for the storage of up to 70 names, as well as an alphabetical search option and your choice of unique ringers assigned to specific calling parties. Additionally, you can quickly transfer a single listing or the entire phonebook.

User-Friendly Operation
User-friendly and easy to operate, the DECT2060-2 offers up to 16 hours of talk time per battery charge, 10 days of standby time, and a convenient redial feature that accesses the last 10 numbers dialed. English and Spanish menus guide you through set-up and operation, and the included NiMH battery means you can set-up and get started right away.

Uniden DECT 6.0 Compact Cordless Phone with Caller ID and Extra Handset and Charging Cradle. Reviews

This seemed like a good phone upon purchasing it. Good layout, features and sound quality. Unfortunately with only normal levels of use (I live alone), the batteries gave out. Shortly after ordering replacement batteries the menu button (one 4-way button that controls everything) gave out for BOTH handsets. Now I cannot access missed calls, my phone book or scroll to or through any menus.

It's cheap and unfortunately despite the good intentions you get what you pay for with this one. I have had good experiences with numerous Panasonic phones in the past and would recommend one of them instead.

These phones were awesome for the first year of heavy use. I've got 3 handsets and one base station.

After about 15 months, the center button gave out on all of them. This is the most important button on the phone which lets you use the phone book, flip through the caller ids.

Then the headphone jacks all gave out at the same time. I tested them all with different headsets -- the interior connection failed.

I often use these phones 6-8 hours a day and they just can't handle this use. I'm shopping for new ones.

I don't need an answering machine on my next unit.

This may explain why i can't find replacement handsets anymore in stores.

I usually read reviews with a grain of salt and think sometimes people just happen to purchase a lemon. With this item I can say all the negative reviews are right!

We purchased this phone on the spur of the moment thinking Uniden was a good name. It's the first and last time I do that without checking reviews! Low and behold we've had non-stop problems with the phone saying "Out of Range" even when standing right next to the main station. It really gets fun when it does it multiple times in a row and you can't even tell the person on the other end what's going on! It is now starting to say "Hello, Please Wait" instead of just giving us the "Out of range" message.

This phone is going in the trash TODAY and I'm going out to purchase something that actually works!

I had to edit this review because I forgot to also mention that the center navigation key stopped working on one of the handsets within about 2 months of purchase and made the caller ID unusable.

I've had my system for about a year and a half now and on a couple of the most used phones, the square button with which you navigate menus/phone numbers/caller id etc has stopped working properly. I've seen a couple of other reviews mentioning the same problem. I'd like to think that a phone system is designed to last a few years but this one obviously isn't. I did have calls drop out occasionally too because I was supposedly 'out of range' even if I was only a few feet from the base. Also the batteries are pretty useless now after a year and a half. I think I'm going to try the AT&T equivalent system because they seem to get better reviews.

I have had these phones for about 7 months. I did a lot of research before I bought them and found the reviews to be good. I purchased the base unit and 4 satellite phones. These phones do not last off the charger for longer than 4 hours. The talk time runs about 30 minutes. There have been many times that I have answered the phone, only to find no one there because the phone has lost communication with the base unit. I am now in the market for a whole new set.
