Uniden DECT 6.0 Cordless Digital Answering System with Caller ID and 2 Extra Handsets and Charging Cradles

Uniden DECT 6.0 Cordless Digital Answering System with Caller ID and 2 Extra Handsets and Charging Cradles.

The Uniden DECT2080-3 DECT 6.0 Cordless Digital Answering System includes a base station, two charging cradles, and three handsets. Because the phone uses DECT technology, which uses the 1.9 GHz frequency range, there is no interference with wireless networks, microwave ovens, cordless phones, and other household items. The result is less interference, more range, and better security. The built-in digital answering machine has a recording time of 14 minutes.

Each handset can hold up to 100 phonebook entries, displayed on the three-line backlit LCD. Caller ID is supported, and with call waiting caller ID you can see who's calling even when you are already on the line. The DECT2080-3 comes with three handsets and can be expanded to a total of six handsets working with the single base. A conference feature lets you hold a three-way conversation between your handset, an external caller, and another handset user. A speakerphone is built into the handset, rather than the base, so you can bring the speakerphone with you wherever you go. The handset features up to 16 hours of talk time and a 10-day standby. The Uniden DECT2080-3 DECT 6.0 Cordless Digital Answering System is backed by a 1-year warranty.

Uniden DECT 6.0 Cordless Digital Answering System with Caller ID and 2 Extra Handsets and Charging Cradles Reviews

I purchased this phone with 2 additional handsets over a year ago. After much research, I based my purchase through the reviews - which were glowing - buyers saying this was a terrific phone. I thought so, too. For awhile.
I am now searching for a new phone because each and every handset is failing. Specifically, the buttons at the center of each handset that allows you to scroll through numbers, adjust volume, adjust ringer, and access phonebook; they began working at random and now, in order to access any feature at all I have to press really hard and many times that doesn't work.
The other major thing that is unnacceptable is the fact that I can be less than 20 feet away from the base unit and suddenly my call will get dropped because I'll be 'out of range.' This happens at least 3-4 times a week.
At first, I thought I just bought a lemon. I've always had Uniden phones and they've been very reliable. However, I began searching for other reviews on this model and I keep coming across people having the same problems that I'm having.
My advice is, if you're looking for a phone with additional handsets - shop around for a different phone. Cool features like 'an orange backlight when ringing' won't do you much good if the phone itself isn't reliable and functional. At the very least, check for a different model than this one.

Love the options of different rings - including songs. Wish the handsets were a little larger. Picked these phones because each one has the speaker phone option.

I would definitely buy these again. I have always liked Uniden. Their products have been better than other brands I have tried. In fact, we still use a set of Uniden cordless phones I bought almost 15 years ago. They work perfectly.

Hey all,
Previously I had a Panasonic phone system. I had loved the sound quality and features of the phone, but unfortunately it was only a 5.8ghz phone and I wasn't able to use the phone outside in my NYC apt. (The elevator shaft was blocking the reception) Anyhow, I started looking online for phone options and really like the look of this 6ghz uniden phone system. Within the first few months there were times where phone quality was patchy. People would complain that my voice sounded really distant and distorted through the other end...even if I tried using different handsets.
The 6ghz phone does nothing to improve the distance I can use the phone. Now I'm not blaming Uniden for that, but frustrating non the less.
Lastly, and most annoying, the 4 way keypad that allows u to access the menu and internal features...IS BROKEN...ON ALL 4 PHONES!!!!
I can't believe it, one by one they all stopped working to where I have no ability to access my internal contact list. Cant even scroll through the last numbers I called or was called from...so annoying.

Anyhow, my advice, go with panasonic...they are a more solid brand. I should have listened to other reviews, but didn't. Now less than a year later, I am going to have to spend another $150 for a phone system that works the way I need it to.

These phones do not have the range the other set had they also were Uniden DECT 6.0 . The old set would talk to the back of our yard the new set will not talk just outside our house. These are not as good as the old sets. If rating 1 - 10, 10 being the highest , maybe a rating of 2.5 or 3 only. Not satisfied with distance.

I bought this phone system a little over a year ago. Suddenly I am getting out of range. The main handset has stopped working. When it was kept getting where people could hear me but I could not hear them.I can not use this handset to dial out at all. Third handset won't keep a charge. I am very dissapointed has I have always had Uniden phones and been happy with them. I do like that it has a large phone book which a lot of phones don't have and I need. I would not recommend this phone system .
