Uniden TRU 12803 5.8 GHz Digital Expandable Cordless Speakerphone with Caller ID w/ 2 Extra Handsets
The TRU12803 from Uniden is a 5.8 GHz phone system with plenty of features, including a second handset and charging cradle and the option to add even more. By using the 5.8 GHz frequency with digital transmission, the TRU12803 is able to offer a clearer signal and greater distance than traditional phones operating on lower analog bands.Multiuser expandable, the TRU12803 supports up to 10 handsets on the same system , allowing you to place extra handsets wherever you need them. Caller-ID and call-waiting compatible, the base unit holds up to 70 caller ID/memory locations in its internal memory, while each handset stores up to 50 locations, so you can keep track of incoming calls and store the most important phone numbers for easy recall. Handsets can be used in DirectLink (walkie-talkie) mode to communicate with other handsets on the system, while a baby-monitoring mode lets you hear what's going on at another handset location.

Uniden TRU 12803 5.8 GHz Digital Expandable Cordless Speakerphone with Caller ID w/ 2 Extra Handsets Reviews
This model has been replaced with newer ones.but I would buy this same model again.it's just a good simple functional cordless phone. Very good quality in and out. The sound on the recorder sounds a little harsh.probably the little speaker used.
Had this phone for about a month. I can ony compare to my other phones.I've had 27mhz though 2.4mhz before.to this date.my old 900mhz Uniden was the best out of them all.it just wasn't digital.but had the best range and sound.
Battery life is very good.call quality is excellent. Range on this model is over 1000 feet.though walls and all.if you can get it for around 30 bucks you wont disopointed. The answering/recording part of the phone isn't the best.but it's ok.
It does the job but it's not top of the line. And a minor point is that on calling back long distance caller ID you can't just add a 1, you have to re-enter the entire number. This phone is cheap and you get three handsets, wide reception range. So you might have to write it down first. Caller ID and call waiting work fine. Sometimes when I am taking a call it sounds like I am in a tunnel. However the answering machine audio is very poor quality, hard to understand what the message is about or who it is from. I run a business out of my home so my phone and answering machine really need to work well.
