Here's an easy way to save time at your home or small office. The 3Com U.S. Robotics ISDN terminal adapter lets individual users connect a PC or Macintosh computer to high-speed ISDN lines for more productive work and more enjoyable play. Like the highly popular and award-winning 3ComImpact IQ ISDN modem before it, this terminal adapter is simple to install and use. You even get your choice of connection over the RS-232 or USB port. This terminal adapter is fast, too. Its serial transmission speed is 230.4 Kbps with compression, 128 Kbps without. The 3Com U.S. Robotics ISDN terminal adapter also saves you money - you can use a single ISDN line for all your communications. Connect up to six analog devices to the terminal adapter's two ADP ports - your telephone and fax can simultaneously use the ISDN line. The Dynamic Voice Override feature automatically adjusts data call rates to let you talk on the phone or send/receive a fax while you're online. This and its other advanced features such as Always-on/Dynamic ISDN, AutoSPID Wizard, Auto Update, and support for USB, Windows, and Macintosh bring you more value than other terminal adapters on the market. The 3Com U.S. Robotics ISDN terminal adapter offers the features that large corporations insist on while making ISDN affordable for the home or small office. It brings you easy, full-featured ISDN for more working or playing, and less waiting.

U.S. Robotics ISDN Pro Terminal Adapter with USB and RS232 Serial Cable Reviews

It will provide a fairly easy to configure, reliable connection. For those us poor schleps without any other broadband alternative, ISDN is a viable option. Check out the auction sites, as people are jumping from ISDN to DSL or cable modems every day. If you are looking to head down this path, the 3Com adapter is a good option. Unfortunately, like all 3Com modems, it is overpriced.
