I purchased three of these, they all went bad within a few weeks. STAY AWAY Now they're useless.
my headset port broke and doesn't work so hot anymore. complete waste of my money. sound is distorted, horrible, etc. don't buy it. yeah its cheap but still not worth it
I'll keep it around just in case my mic jack ever goes out, but most likely it will sit in my closet and collect dust until I throw it away. Pro: Cheap. I listened to 3 songs on this bad boy and pulled it out of my computer. Con: Sounds like audio from a super cheap usb sound card. I've used usb sound devices in the past that weren't too much more expensive than this one, and they actually sounded good.
The jack got messed up somehow so I could only hear if I had my headphones pugged into the jack at some odd angle and I constantly had to wiggle it into place. I was just happy I could hear something. There is lots of static in the background and sometimes the sound cuts off completely. This product is very cheaply made. I don't recommend it. I use a laptop and I was having problems with the sound for a while. Also, itunes doesn't always recognize it but WMP does. I don't get that.
There has got to be something better out there. It works. When I first plugged it in I was surprised that it actually worked but I wasn't blown away by the sound quality. Anyway, it has been a few days and it still works but not very well. After a while that didn't work anymore so I had to find an alternative.I bought this thing.
My laptop audio jack has a short in it and only works on the left side. For the price it will do the job for now. I got this as a cheap work-around. It works, but is by no means "studio quality". At high volume there is distortion.
