V-Moda Vibe Earbuds (Gunmetal Black) Reviews

Any earbuds that have a stethoscope effect won't get more than a two rating from me. Back to the drawing board. And this is an original pair of new V-Moda earbuds, not an imitation.

Worse, as soon as they were in, sound in my head amplified like my head was under water. And I still hadn't plugged them in. Back in the box these earbuds have gone. I'm only glad I already happened to be going to the mall an hour away tomorrow, because I need a refund from Best Buy. The red looked awesome, but as soon as I put them in my ears, even without yet plugging them into my mp3 player, I knew I was going to have problems. They ended up sticking out. There is no way I'd be able to use these when jogging as I intended.

Once plugged in and music on, the sound quality was quite good. And then I moved around. The thumping and wire movement alongside music would drive me batty.

I received my V-Moda Vibe Red Roxx earbuds the other day and opened them tonight. But from reviews I've read, this may be a saving grace in the long run. Any wire movement produced a stethoscope effect in my ears.

I struggled to get a good fit with the angle of my ear canals. I bought this pair for the bass because I have oversensitivity to high pitch noises and struggle to hear bass sounds, and I could actually hear bass for a change. When the wires bumped my chest, a loud thump interjected the music including the highs that usually impede my ears above all other sounds.

The wires moving in my hair alone interrupted the music.

I believe I have found the ones. It is very comfortable in the ear. Love the product. I bought this to replace other ear plugs. It doesn't come out on it's own like most products that I have tried.

comfortable and cool looking. good purchase for the price but I opted to go to Bose after the return; more balanced and true sound with greater clarity. liked the fabric covered wiring which is supple and lightweight. returned because of defective earpiece which crackled. decent sound, heavy on bass as most reviews state.

That is completely unacceptable for supposedly high-quality earbuds. If you're okay with 8-12 months of working earbuds, these are for you, otherwise look for something more durable. $100 (what I paid) in the garbage. My left earbud went out today after just over one year. After further research, I found other reviewers who have had the IDENTICAL PROBLEM - looks like I got the second generation "cheap" version. I had to throw them away. They sound great, but the quality for the price is not.

I bought this product for a couple reasons: 1) noise cancellation, and 2) improved sound quality from standard iPod earphones. Also, (this is a problem common to all in-ear earphones) since air conduction of outside noise is reduced, 'internal noise' such as yourself breathing is greatly amplified. It is not for everyone. I recommend this product only if you're happy with the fit of the earbuds. When I first got the Earbuds, I tried all three different sizes in two different materials (white and black silicons).

Eventually I settled with medium, white silicon buds, but the fit is not always perfect. I am happy to say that V-Moda Vibe Earbuds served the above two purposes rather well. They depend largely on the 'traction' or 'stickiness' of the rubber to stay in your earcanals and can slip out if you are running or have some moisture to dampen the silicon material. However, the only downside of this product is the fitment. This is essentially because the obstruction in the external ear effectively creates a 'conductive hearing loss' and is not a criticism of the product but rather an annoyance.

You can try them on at Apple stores I believe. In terms of sound quality, it is quite bass-heavy although it is reasonably crisp in mid and high ranges as well.
