ViewSonic NextVision N6 Video Processor Reviews
The reomte needs a lot of pressure to get it to respond Some buttons are almost impossible to activate. I solved the problem by getting a One For All 6-device universal remote with learning. It works great except for the remote. I bought this to convert a spare monitor into a TV.
We have been able to hook up the processor and it works. I also have a PC with a TV card in it, and will say that the NextVision is far superior to a TV tuner card because there is no delay, and the picture is better. It was originally hooked up to a 19" CRT, and now a 15" LCD. As for the price, I bought this system used, so I paid less than what it is listed for We have had cable hooked up to it, the PC of course, and an XBOX and now an XBOX 360. The picture quality is without a doubt better than a standard television set, but not as good as an HDTV set. I dont know what else to say other than that it works. I bought the processor for my sons room.
i highly recommend this product. i am feeding it my DVD player, computer and DTV. for my sharp lcd projector, the magic number was 1024X768 at 75HZ. i'm guessing that if you are complaining about this product, then you don't know what you are doing. gaming on a 100" screen is simply amazing. the N6 is an excellent product, but only if you know how to use it. perhaps you should get a nerd to help you set it up.
the image quality its awesome, im giving 4 stars because the remote control its soo bad, then now i have to buy a universal learning remote. but the N6 its wonderfull.
First the good news: the N6 produces an absolutely beautiful television image projected over a 10 foot wide area. Luckily, I can bypass the N6 and connect the DVD directly to the DLP projector. The bad news: the N6 pretty much screws up anything I've tried to hook up to it. The TV tuner works as promised. All the features listed for this function operate as indicated in the manual. Overall, I give it about an average score because of the great TV.
The VCR image wiggles horizontally. It distorts the DVD image very badly, it made my laptop overheat & go off on internal overload, and forget about trying to run a VCR through it. I'm using the N6 tuner with ordinary comcast cable service and a BenQ 6100 DLP projector. Unfortunately, I still can't watch my old VHS tapes on the DLP.I probably would have bought a less expensive item without as many features if I had known better.
