ViewSonic has designed the PF-775 with PerfectFlat technology for the distortion-free images required for desktop publishing, imaging, Web design, and photo editing. It features a 17-inch (16-inch viewable) flat panel with ultrafine 0.25-millimeter dot pitch, advanced onscreen controls, and a high maximum resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 at 77 Hz. Its 16.7 million colors deliver sharp images. Plus, a pair of 2-watt speakers built into the base deliver stereo sound for your multimedia applications. The PF-775 provides an ergonomic design with height, tilt, and swivel adjustments, and its small footprint takes up less of your valuable desk surface. The vertical and horizontal 160-degree viewing angles permit multiple users to see the screen without having to sit directly in front of the monitor. The screen pivots to landscape or portrait mode for full-page viewing. ARAG (antireflective, antiglare) screen treatment supports increased accuracy of onscreen images and reduced eye strain. The unit is also wall mountable. Other features of the PF-775 include PerfectPortrait software, selectable text and image-smoothing filters, ViewMatch color controls, gamma adjustments for custom color response, dual USB ports, and low power consumption. SuperClear technology provides crisp focus and vivid colors shown through optimized glass. The PF-775 is both PC ready and Macintosh compatible (with the purchase of a separate adapter). On-the-desk dimensions are about 17 by 17 by 18 inches, and it weighs a substantial 44 pounds. The monitor parts, labor, and picture tube are all supported by a three-year limited warranty.

ViewSonic PF775 17" CRT Monitor Reviews
Built-in microphone is yet another great feature. Have used six ViewSonic monitors since I got into computing and the 17" E771 is a terrific monitor. And the picture is sharp and crisp. ViewSonic got my vote for the seventh time. On-screen adjusments are very convenient and easy to use. Built-in speakers save desktop space.
i had to decide between this moniter (an extremly good 17") or one of those "ok" 19" moniters, i couldnt be happier with my decision., the colors are bright, vibrant, no distortion, high refresh rate, very sharp (both graphics and text) and it is totaly flat (thats probably why there is absolutly no distortion). im just in love with it. i bought this moniter, and i think it is nothing but amazing. u r probably asking why this moniter isnt in pc magazines editors choice, or pc world, etc.well the reason is probably because it is [costly], and magazines are looking for a "good value product" well, if u apreciate good graphics, you will think of this as a "good value prodcut" :)to some it up in 4 words: T-H-I-S M-O-N-I-T-E-R I-S A M-O-S-T i do some web design, graphics, cad, and other stuff, and its all great (im beginning to feel that i sound repetetive, but theres a reason for that, this moniter is great:), one more thing, i play lotsa games, 3d shooters, strategies, u-name-it and it all looks perfect.
The.25 dot pitch gives a very sharp picture. I do some Photoshop work at home and the color representation is very, very good. The PF775 turned out to be a very good purchase for me. I was a little hesitant to spend the extra money for the Viewsonic but the picture quality is top notch and I didn't see any other brand on display that had as good of picture quality as this one. This one is the best of the perfectly flat monitors, in my opinion.
