It boasts one of the slimmest flat screens available, with a total screen depth of 5.4 inches and weighing a mere 11 pounds. While the 1,024 x 768 maximum resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate are a tad less than one might expect, the VG150's lower price makes it a practical purchase for many users. Its outstanding ratings for low radiation and high safety, combined with exceptional power-saving features, make the VG150 highly cost-effective. The VG150 is designed for both desktop use and wall mounting, and its antistatic, antiglare screen functions equally well in the darkest cubicle or sunniest corner office. Onscreen controls allow users easy customization for both PC and Macintosh. Plus, the Windows auto install feature provides PC users with convenient plug-and-play setup and configuration. Like all ViewSonic products, the VG150 comes with a three-year limited warranty on parts and labor. --Jill Lightner

ViewSonic VG150 15" LCD Monitor Reviews
It was good while it lasted. I am about to try to install the logic board after having it for over 1 1/2 years; wish me luck. That said, it lasted for three years then passed away. I am pretty certain that my VG150 had a three year warranty. Anyway, I have purchased a new "logic" board on eBay (for $20 total)., after not acting on buying one of these (that are said to get the monitor up and running again). for a little less than $100 over the years it seems.
If you do a little research online, you will see otheres with similar complaints. My husband and I bought two of these and after using them for a little over a year (i.e. Buyer beware. Viewsonic did nothing for us and we are stuck with 2 broken monitors. Eventually mine never turned on again. when they were no longer under warranty) they both developed the same problem of shutting off unexpectedly. Once they had shut off like this, we would have to let them "rest" for a few hours before they would turn on again.
So when upgraded to a 17" I bought a Viewsonic (VG721) again. I have been very happy with this Viewsonic LCD. This LCD has no dead pixel, the text and pictures look crisp, its cool on the eyes but yet sufficiently bright. However I did not find the colorific software that came along with the LCD very useful. I have had no problems with it.
Plus it looks classy and refined. This one is a 1/4th the size of my previous monitor (thickness). So I have more room to put my keyboard and any other stuff infront of this monitor. Easy on the eyes. Doesn't run hot like CRT monitors. One of the reason why I switched from CRT to LCD is the size.
Easy on the eyes and easy to use The updated driver from Viewsonics Website did not load properly so I chose to ignore it with no problems. Got my VG150 last week, Worked great with windows XP out of the box.
