So, spend a couple of extra bucks and get a projection clock that really works the way it should. The old adage, "You get what you pay for", fits this item perfectly. It does have a jack for an AC adapter (3V DC), but doesn't come with one. The projection function is useless, as you have to press a button to get it to project onto the ceiling or a wall, and even then it only lasts for a few seconds. It is battery operated, yet the philips head screws are tiny, tiny and even my smallest of screwdrivers won't open the battery compartment.
