Western Digital My Passport Elite 320GB USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive (Bronze) Reviews

The 320 GB is large enough for all my files. I am very satisfied with this product. Overall, I would strongly recommend it. I got it for a sale price and they gave me free WD passport pouch as part of their promotions. The less glossy portable hard drive is better than my previous black glossy WD hard dirve.

Setup was 123 easy and it works flawlessly. It's great for traveling too as it's about the size of a pack of cards and needs no power source other than the computer. Folders that you choose to have in the backup are backed up instantly which I love. I've been using this for about a month now and love it. Very happy with this drive. I have a layered back-up system and this is the cherry on top. I have a large amount of files that I can't take a chance on losing.

It was delivered within the expect time frame, and packaged securely. I was very satisfied with the purchase. Gets high marks in my passport book The price was welll below what I could have paid in the store. Will definately purchse for the seller again.

This drive is great for backups, as you can hook it up fast without a power supply and store it anywhere. I have owned several Western Digital Passport drives and a few other mobile drive brands. I've used it on an XP and Vista machine and both have copied data to it fairly quick. I haven't performed tests on it, but it always gets the job done for me. That would be my only complaint, but it doesn't really bother to me. Put it in your briefcase, put it in your safe, take it with you anywhere and keep a copy of your data. I've never had a drive failure, the transfer speed is always quick, and the case is very sturdy.

Check back often for pricing. All WD Passports that I've owned, including this one, have stood up very well. I've used it on multiple desktops and multiple laptops with no issues at all, but you'll have to try it on your own system. Some people consider the short cable that's included to be too short, but it's mobile. Amazon and other retailers change the prices of the WD Passport drives all the time.

I have these drives everywhere, because of their mobility and performance. It is almost pocket-size and the only thing you have to keep with you is a short USB cable. Some owners have commented on needing a power adapter or extra usb cable for it, but I've never had that issue. The 320GB version is a great upgrade on the previous Passport models. You can't beat them.

The speed is very responsive. The surface of the Passports can be easy to scratch if you throw it around or keep it in your bag with other items.

I am using this with a eeePC1000 and it does what I wanted it to do-store a lots of pictures. No external power and easy transfer of files. I travel to China for 6 months at a time and needed storage for all the photos I take along the way. The form factor is tiny and it's worked very good so far. Fantastic little drive. Recommend this as a very good value and problem free storage device.
