Western Digital My Passport Essential 320 GB USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive WDME3200TN (Midnight Black) Reviews

Loaded well, but just last week had a one year old Western Digital 500GB Pro Edition hard drive fail completely. it fits nicely in my safety deposit box where I store it as a safe, safe backup for my 48,000 song iTunes library. Maybe I just got a bad one (500GB), or maybe WD just has so-so quality control. time will tell. However, this one is nice and small, and I like the "no brick" USB only design. so, we'll see how this one holds up, but I worry just a bit.

it is fast reliable but its backup software need more improvment I have bought this disk as a backup disk.

i have recommended this for many people alreaDY. thank u sleek and worth the price.

Worked as advertised. I ordered, it came in a timely fashion and in good condition. No techie skills required. Needed an external drive for backup purposes. Searched, read reviews, selected this one. I did need to make some changes to be able to backup entire system, but instructions were available and easily followed. Plug and Play.

I needed a reliable and portable solution. I've had several problems with some of my machines ingesting this drive and so am concerned about long-term reliability. If you're considering a disk like this, review all alternatives first. I have several machines that I routinely move information from/to and back up. I bought one of these babies a month and a half ago and am not all that pleased.
