White Lanyard Headphones for iPod 2nd Gen 2G Nano Reviews
Lanyard works great!
I use it daily. The lanyard works as advertised. My only complaint is that the white cord gets dirty.
These are a knock off
These are a knock off of the original Apple product. No cords dangling, iPod hanging securely at your chest where it is easy to get to the controls to change a playlist or adjust the volume. As one of the other reviewers said, the rope is not thick enough to engage the plastic slider clips so the lanyard will slip to the most extended position if you do not tape or otherwise fix their position. That said, for use at the gym, bicycling, or winding through the supermarket these things are great. The audio quality is not as good as my Bose ear buds but is acceptable for my purposes and the buds have the same rubberized edges as the Apple earpieces to keep them firmly in your ear. At $10 a pair, buy severalthey are not that durable (but neither were the Apple originals at $30/set)and consider them a good, disposable accessory.
Apple lanyard breaks too...
I've had two Apple lanyard's and both of those have stopped working. (Maybe that wouldn't be so if Apple was clear about its environmental and labor practices.). I'm going to give this one a try. GREAT concept, I have my iPod loaded with podcasts and credit it with keeping me up-to-date on all sorts things I'm interested in. $40 from Apple seems expensive.
Wish these lasted longer
I'd love to use lanyard headphones, but they have to be built to last. Joan Price, author. Good news: I love these.
They are so convenient to wear when I want to listen to my iPod, whatever I'm doing. Better Than I Ever Expected: Straight Talk About Sex After Sixty My first pair lasted about 3 months.
I'm not buying them again. The wire comes loose from the covering with extended, normal use. Let me know if any of you find any that last well.
The second lasted maybe 5 months. Bad news: They keep breaking.
I wish Apple still made this product
These are a cheap knock off and not what is pictured by the seller. But that was a generation ago, so, oh well. The cord slips and the sound is inferior to the product that Apple once sold.
