very sweet stuff that easily put on you remote, and works just greartly with the Nyko remote charge station
It does exactly what it's supposed to do: Give you a decent rechargeable battery for the Wiimote. Also, as Nintendo now ships the Wiimotes with a plastic cover, or "glove", you have to peel the "glove" at least halfway off of the Wiimote to place on the base. The base (sold separately) comes with two of these battery kits plus the base. Since the Wii can use FOUR Wiimotes, you'll need two additional batteries, and this Battery Kit fits the bill very well.
This Nyko Wii Battery Kit is great if you already have the Wii Charge Station base. Walt D in LV The batteries hold their charge quite well and for a long time. It can also be a little tricky to get the Wiimote to sit on the base because the Wrist strap gets in the way.
Unfortunately, you can't set the batteries in the charger by themselves: They have to be attached to a Wiimote. All in all I love this Battery Kit and the sold separately Nyko Charge Station. It's not difficult, but it could have been a better design. My only concern is that the base could have been designed a bit better.
They also don't take TOO long to charge up. The Battery Kit itself, for which this review is for, is perfect.
I already had a Nyko charge station before buying an extra battery kit and it is a great accessor. LOL). A wiimote can work up to 8 hours with the power of this accessory. It was the end of old batteries at home. It won't last for 5 years I think. For sure the batteries duration diminush with the time but I can still use my old 1 year and a half batteries for 4-5 hours. but I only had to open my wiimote 2 times after buying my wii ; 1 time for the batteries coming the wii remote (for 3 days) and the second time when I bought the nyko kit. (and I used them a lot : Maybe 250 recharges.
Until then, everything works fine, so don't think this batery can be infinitely be recharged. Same goes for the Wii chargers. The batery works great, except that the batery can only be rechargable for at least a year or so.
And I can just drop it in the recharge station that I already own. I will be buying one more to complete my 4 wii remotes. Really beats buying AA batteries as you go through them very quickly. Also, they come in different colors, mine was green (looks cool). An awesome product.
