All you need is a wall socket, which is better than others that you need to plug to the wii usb ports to charge. The wii charging system by Nyko, is the best charging system i've ever owned for any system. You will be happy with this purchase. Easy to use, quick charge & cool to look at. It comes with two 2 battery packs & battery covers with cool grips included.
If you would like to not have to worry about batteries for your Wii remotes, then buy this charging system right now. I highly recommend this item and any others made by Nyco. Nyco makes very good products. No need to think about it or continue looking at all the other maybe's, cuz I've done that for you.
in short this is a must buy if you have a Wii. It works, its convenient and it saves money, the Wiimotes are super power hungry i am surprised Nintendo did not addressed this.
Another thing is the charger has a Red Led light and when trying to unplug it you cant really look at it, it hurts my eyes. It lasted about two days and then the little metal piece that charges the battery broke off. But watch out what you buy. I was able to purchase this as an assecory when I bought my wii. Nyko is an okay product maker. I have three wiimotes and the battery pack doesn't really fit skins because of its "tight grip" Another thing it takes a long time to charge and dosent last long.
In holding the remotes while trying to use my Wii I can even feel the internal mechanisms sputtering. The infrared signal from the remotes jumps around so much that using them is just impossible. THEY DIDN'T. If there was a rating lower than zero it would still be too high for this product. The charging station might actually work, however, the Wii remotes I charged with this thing no longer function properly. Now, both of my remotes are useless. I was hopeful that if I went back to batteries the problem would stop.
