Designed specifically for busy professional and amateur digital photographers, the Wolverine ESP portable multimedia storage device lets you store and view thousands of photos, songs, and video files in a single convenient device. Digital photographers typically have to purchase multiple memory cards if they want to take a ton of photos while traveling. With the ESP, however, you need only a single card, as the unit's 80 GB hard drive stores the rest. When your camera's memory card is full, simply pop it in the Wolverine ESP's built-in 7-in-1 card reader. With the press of a button, the device transfers all of your photos and digital camera video data into a portable, self-powered mass storage unit. Once the contents of your card are safely stored in the ESP's memory, you can re-fill your memory card with brand-new photos--all without going anywhere near a computer. And because the device is battery powered, you can literally save your data anywhere in the world. It's perfect for traveling, sharing data during meetings, and just about any other on-the-go situation. The ESP also includes a razor-sharp 3.6-inch LCD screen, letting you view stored photos and videos without plugging them back into your camera. Among the compatible photo formats are JPEG, Bitmap, Tiff, Text, and RAW images, while compatible video formats include MPEG-1, MPEG-4, WMV 9, and XviD. And as with many digital cameras, the ESP prints directly to a printer to save time and energy. The device is no slouch from an audio perspective, either, with support for MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, ACC (MP4 audio), and CDA formats. In addition, the unit's drag-and-drop functionality makes it easy to transfer music files from your computer and play them instantly. As a final bonus, the ESP includes a built-in FM radio with 18 presets that lets you listen to and record your favorite FM programs. Other details include zoom, rotate, and slide show functions; an included A/V cable for connecting the ESP directly to any TV, projector, or stereo system; and compatibility with a separately sold cradle system that lets you record directly from a TV, DVD, VCR, camcorder, or other video source. The ESP measures 5.3 by 2.8 by 0.9 inches (W x H x D), weighs 10.2 ounces with the lithium-ion battery, and is backed by a one-year warranty. What's in the Box Wolverine ESP (with battery), AC charger, USB cable, A/V cable, earphone, carrying case, software CD, user's manual.

Wolverine ESP 80 GB Portable Multimedia Storage Player Reviews
I have owned this unit for almost two years now, and still love using it. The screen is large and the picture quality good, making it easy on the eyes. It does a good job with all of the above. Both of these additions are valuable. I use it for watching movies and video clips, listening to music, and storing photos to enjoy and share with others. If all you want is to view a few random video clips, then this might be more than you need.
I also have the base station, which not only keeps your unit charged, but allows you to record music and video directly from any sound source or TV. The Woverine worked flawlessly and saved the files we needed. One great feature on the Wolverine that I thought I would never need is the ability to download a wide variety of media storage cards directly to the unit. I have known of others who use the unit to save picture files while on vacation and are then able to reuse memory cards and still view and bring home hundreds of pictures to edit and print. If you are just looking for a music player, then look elsewhere. This turned out to be a lifesaver this past summer when we needed to access picture files from a broken digital camera while on the go. The ability to change batteries has made it ideal for long plane flights and travel.
It has seen rugged, constant use, and has never needed repair. The Wolverine is large for today's standards, but I feel the quality, dependablity, and features more than justify the few onces and inches difference. If, however, you enjoy watching full length movies or TV shows, while at the same time being able to carry a large stock of music with you, then this might be the unit that would fit your needs. I would also strongly recommend buying an extra battery and charger to go with your unit.
The player was also very easy to upload to a developer/online album. I bought this for our vacation of a lifetime and was not disappointed. Highly recommend it. I have not used it for anything else. The storage media loads quickly onto the wolverine and I lost nothing in picture quality.
The menus take awhile to figure out and the advance toggle button could be better when you hand it to someone that wants to look at pix its hard for them to maneuver. But that said, its a great small package that holds many different formats. Absolutely indispensible for back ups when travleing and for weddings
I have upgraded my camera several times in the past few years and each time the files get larger and larger and the memory cards fill up faster and faster. It works so well and does such a great job backing up my memory cards, and displaying my photos, I just love working with it. I am a travel photographer, and while I would love to carry all my equipment with me at all times, I am most frequently deciding what I can do without on this trip to cut weight and space. I carry enough cards to get thru a days shooting and then load the files into the Wolverine in the evening. This gives me a great opportunity to review the days shooting on a big beautiful screen without hauling the laptop on every trip. The Wolverine has never and will never be cut out. The Wolverine ESP has immediately become an essential camera accessory.
easy to use and lots of extra features. offers a slide show option for picture review with 1, 3 or 5 second intervals.
