Xbox 360 Controller for Windows Reviews

This controller is the biggest letdown I've ever experienced with a gaming console. There is at least a 2-3 second delay with each action I take with it.

Garbage. Perhaps I got a lemon. Try selecting plays in Madden with that kind of delay.

BTW, I'm working within 4 feet of the console, with nothing in between the controller and the console. I press 'A' to accept the letter 'a' for my profile name, and three seconds later it appears. Since it was standard with the system I bought, I had no choice.

This is a completely worthless piece of garbage.

Hey. I have a few things to say about this controller. It works well, and it is easy to install, so it gets top marks. Let's be honest: Who here is tired of playing Battlefield 2142 with the keyboard. It was easy to connect and install on my PC, but I was led to wonder. Perhaps in the future a universal controller will be made available.

So it seems ideal, but it begs the question as to why, in this day and age, with PC technology advancing rapidly, I should need different controllers in the first place. This one is compatible with both the XBox and the PC. but sometimes you need a controller. be necessary, when PC, and console users, have access to such a capable and compatible controller. The fact that it does not interface with all applications knocks it down a little. I mean, why should joysticks, etc. I have not been a big fan of first person shooters, etc.

Our other controller didn't have enough buttons for the Legos Indiana Jones for PC so I bought this one and it works flawlessly with the game.

I haven't used this much for Windows gaming, but I imagine some games would give you problems since the button mapping looks quite different to DirectX than the mapping on gamepads by Logitech and others. I actually prefer this controller to the standard Xbox or wireless Xbox controllers since it connects to both PC and Xbox 360 and draws power from the USB connection so you don't have to worry about batteries. I like this. It connects via USB to your PC or to the Xbox 360 and includes a safety release so you won't rip your PC or XBox off the shelf if you get carried away. For any developers out there, this works fine with Microsoft XNA for both PC and Xbox 360.

I can see people hating this controller for its somewhat short cord length (about 6 feet) but it's not an issue for me. It's the same base product as a standard Xbox controller (wired or wireless) with the same features - pressure sensitive trigger buttons, two separate motors for vibration support, etc. If it is for you get Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows which includes a receiver or get a USB extension cable along with this controller. If you already have a Wireless Xbox 360 controlller, it should work on PC if you purchase a Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.

It was reasonably priced and it was mailed to me in a timely manner. I purchased this Xbox 360 controller for Windows for use in testing games I develop in XNA.
