Xbox 360 Controller Reviews
third, the wireless controller is much heavier than the wired, depending on your preference, keep in mind that the wired controller is also much lighter. Second, the battery pack on the wireless 360 controller located on the bottom of the gamepad interferes with finger placement, which is sad. this is a microsoft product. First, there's no need to worry about batteries or recharging anything. I like the wired 360 controller more than the wireless for 3 reasons. Comfortable, attractive, offset joysticks. Each iteration improved upon the last, and it shows. Since the original Xbox, the Duke evolved into the smaller S, which continued to be refined into the modern 360 controller.
This controller is better than the Xbox 360 wireless(though it's excellent) to me b/c it:. is much lighter without the battery back. 5*'s. very ergonomic. long enough cord for me(32inch TV). can be used to play on the computer(since it's USB).
Too long for my applicaiton, but I took the excess and coiled it back up the way it came out of the package. Outside of that, the controller works great on Assasins Creed and Tomb Raider Anniversary. My old Wingman packed more punch for the rumbling feature. Would have been nice if it were available in black.
You'll enjoy it. Assasins Creed does not have that, but the specs behind the box say so. If you see games that have the "Games for Windows" on the box, they are guaranteed work with this controller. At any rate, if you need a gamepad or replace your noncompatible Wingman, get this. I know the cordless is available in black. The cord is super long. Had to get this when I found out that Assasins Creed is not compatible with Logitech's Wingman Rumble pad version 1.
The only thing I found kind of weak is the rumble feature. I chose the corded version due to price and hating to keep charging batteries. Connected it to my Vista PC and was immediately recognized and Windows Update installed the drivers. I went a bit further and installed the program for it also.
I connected it and it was recognized and it worked right off the bat. The Xbox360 controller has to be one of the most ergonomic controllers out on the market right now. This controller is completely worth it. Comfort: I love it. It fits perfectly in your hands and they don't cramp after hours of playing. Button placement is intuitive and is way better than the keyboard for a lot of games.
Get it now if you are at all considering it. Basically Plug and play. Games that support the controller already have the controls mapped out and you can begin playing right away.
Love it. Usability: Very easy to setup. Lets me play the games like they were supposed to be played, but without having to invest in an Xbox360.
I love this controller. It worked perfectly with my PC. Plays games like Devil May Cry 4 and Dead space like a champ.
This is a X-Box controller and I hooked it up to vista64 on a PC, it found the drivers and now I enjoy the playing games with the Xbox controller.
