Zen Vision W:case Stylish Case That Also Doubles As Viewing Stand Reviews

I have a Zen W 60GB. It doesn't realy fit in this case very well. I use a Mystic Audio case instead.

I bought this case for my Zen Vision W 60 Gb player only to find out that its a few mm thicker than the 30 Gb player that the case was designed for. The case is quite flexible when used as a viewing stand though some velcro strips wouldn't go amis. Still the case is well made and protects the player well allowing charging and the headphones to be connected while the front cover is in place.

Also, the unit slides into the case from the top so there's no chance it will fall out like this one. Take your time and look for it.it's leather and I think there were only 2 when I found them, so that means, there's one left. and I'm glad I didn't rush to. I looked a little bit more on Amazon and found a company that sold a nice leather one with an attached kickstand. Here's the link Creative Zen Vision W (30GB) Genuine Leather Case by Fosmon Just got it and it's AWESOME.the screen portion is covered by clear plastic and the front of the case is very well padded to avoid damage to the screen.

There is no belt clip of any kind and saying that the cover acts like a viewing stand is being generous at best. The only positive comment I have is that it is well padded. So, if you are playing music (say while you are driving), you want to skip to the next song occasionally, and you DON'T have velcro holding it in the case, your choices are to open and close it each time (which can not be done one-handed) or have it sliding out of the case and around the front seat. The design of this case is the worst I have ever seen for a device like the Zen W. I just hope that Creative sells enough of these so that someone comes out with a properly designed case because whoever designed this one is an idiot and should be fired.

Not ideal, but you won't be picking up your Zen W in pieces off the floor. Unless you are VERY carefull, IT WILL FALL OUT. The final problem is that this is the only case available for the Zen W 60Gb. A simple solution is stick-on velcro on the back of the Zen W. The most serious issue with this case is that there is nothing holding the Zen W IN the case.

The only controls accessible when the case is closed are the headphone jack, the power adapter jack and the A/V Out jack.

The case seems like it will be protective. The way you use it as a kick stand is on the funky side, the front kind of gets folded back under the case. It works though, you can adjust the viewing angle. It has some sort of metal plate in the front part. I opened it once and the ZEN came sliding out, but I caught it in time. That seems to work well I've uploaded a few shots I took. The quality of the materials are good.

Scared the crap out of me. It just sort of sits in there at the bottom "U" channel. It's not all that bad but not great, there aren't a lot of alternatives at this point though.

There is an easy fix though, I just put a small patch of Velcro on the back, the hook part only. You keep the cover closed by wrapping a black elastic band, which is attached to the cover, around the whole thing. The case material is a textured Vinyl.

How well that will hold up remains to be seen, like I say it seems like good quality. I think it's for protection and weight for when you use it as a kick stand. The worst part of the case I suppose is how there is nothing really holding the unit in place.

That makes it so it attaches itself to the inner material of the case.
